This Rotary Drone is a "Build Your Own Kit". If you want the fully built version instead, click here.
This kit is an easy-to-build project for any noise enthusiast looking to add something unique to their "boutique-sound-maker" collection.
The concept is simple. An internal motor spins at a speed you control, and it's vibrations are sent out as an audio signal through an instrument jack.
What you choose to do with that audio signal is up to you.
This kit includes the following:
- All Wooden Enclosure Parts (Unfinished walnut and birch plywood)
- Motor
- Pre-Built Motor Control Circuit
- Dual-Disc Piezo Mic
- Standard 3/4" Instrument Out Jack
- Barrel-Jack for Power-Input
- Assorted Wires, Screws, Bumpers, and Knob
You will need:
- Wood Stain or Paints
- Small Screwdriver
- Wood Glue
- Hammer
- Soldering Iron (For 4 very simple solder points)
The Rotary Drone is powered by the same adapter used for standard guitar pedals. I do not sell these, but they are very common and can be found by searching for "Guitar Pedal Power Adapter" online.
The size is 6" x 4" x 4.5"
